An accomplished finance executive, Ken Heintz brings progressive and innovative business leadership to Impact 21. His expertise across international retail, CPG, specialty retail, and non-profit industries serves his clients well. Ken boasts a prestigious record of improving profit performance, strong financial planning and analysis, and business partnerships. His operational experience includes international business, franchise management, and supply chain management.
Ken has worked with top CPG and specialty retail brands for over 35 years. He founded and served as Executive Consultant for Heintz Business Solutions, LLC, leading brands in business strategy, retail management, integrated logistics management, and financial management. He directed several key projects, including the international expansion of Loft stores for Ascena Retail Group. He provided best practices for go-to-market process mapping and developed reporting tools and KPIs. He also served as Project Manager for the launch of a new retail concept in New York City, Lou & Grey. Ken spent several years as CFO, COO, and Treasurer for the Ohio State Bar Association in Columbus, OH, where he led his team focused on financial management, continuing legal education, and membership.
Previously, Ken served in several executive roles with Limited Brands. As Assistant Vice President (AVP) of International Finance & Operations, Victoria’s Secret Beauty & Accessories (VSBA), he managed rapid expansion of the VSBA concept in local market and travel retail locations. As Director of Finance, at LBrands, Ken provided Limited Logistics Services managing end-to-end logistics finance for inbound/outbound transportation. While working for Kao Brands (Andrew Jergens Company), Ken filled multiple roles including Director of Corporate Finance, Director of International Finance, and Director of Operations Finance.
Ken gained his BA from Cornell College with a major in Economics and Business, International Business, and Politics. He went on to achieve an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross Graduate School of Business. Ken shared his mastery of international business, finance, and logistics, delivering lectures at the University of Tennessee, Ohio State University, Michigan State University, and the Trend Seeder Accelerator Program in New York City.
Ken demonstrates his true nature and kind soul by his actions outside of the workplace. He lends his expertise as a volunteer Chief Financial Officer and advisory board member for CBusRetail, an association dedicated to the retail viability of Columbus, Ohio. As an Eagle Scout himself, he also volunteers for the Simon Kenton Council (SKC) / Boy Scouts of America, as an Executive Board member and VP of Membership. Ken grew up in the Minneapolis area and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio where he manages to find time to travel, work in the garden, and study history.
