This phase defines requirements and metrics, provides a clear picture on where you are now, and carves out a roadmap that leads you to where you want to go.

It’s time to acquire insights on future requirements, business case, plans and options selected during the Explore Phase. Plans for moving forward and all transition and integration activities will be defined and designed. Change management and metrics are critical components of this phase, ensuring alignment of accountabilities, communication/engagement, training, and deployment plans for pilot and roll-out. The final step is to confirm expectations are clear and that all involved understand the plan. Then it’s go time!

Now we’re off and running. This is where planning and execution meet. Planning, design, and testing in the earlier phases are the keystone to successful implementation of the plans. We achieve success by testing programs and systems against the requirements previously set forth. Commitment to communication and training make all the difference in this phase. As new roles and functions begin, they take on more accountability to sustain the new business practices.

Without this phase, we would be hard pressed to measure success. Here we ensure that new initiatives and technologies are leveraged and continue to gain returns. It is the start to creating a culture that monitors and tracks performance against goals on an on-going basis, continuing to create new measures for success. The organization is now aligned to monitor results and continue to identify new and innovative ways to renew and revitalize. We now have the opportunity to learn and modify, circling back to the design phase to plan out improvements.

The EDGE™ Portal serves as our project headquarters. All Impact 21 projects are managed using our world-class collaboration and project management portal, available 24/7 to all project and client resources. The portal tracks progress of the project across all phases and provides a quick-view for senior management to determine progress and check metrics.
