Jackie Maxwell is a thorough and analytical team leader that you want in your corner. Jackie has a passion for identifying improvement opportunities and implementing change to drive results and capture synergies. She works diligently to lead clients toward solutions while looking at the big picture with a clear understanding of implications for each decision.
Jackie brings 40+ years of industry experience to Impact 21 clients, including 20+ years as the executive leader of the convenience store division of a regional oil company. Throughout her career, she managed pricing and monitored liftings and receivables for wholesale, dealer, jobbers, and bulk plant bid pricing. She was responsible for company-operated convenience store site selection, lease/purchase negotiations, due diligence, and site development, including new to industry, raze and rebuild, and remodel projects. She developed plans for and directed chain-wide image upgrades, technology deployments, POS, and petroleum equipment selections. She developed brand design, store and forecourt layout, and oversaw equipment selections. Her career as a retailer included responsibility for marketing, merchandising, and operations with full responsibility for strategic planning and P&L management.
Since joining Impact 21, she has worked with chains of all sizes across the United States and Canada with emphasis on foodservice accounting, acquisition integration, technology implementations, performance analytics, and gap analysis. Jackie guides companies through acquisition integrations by aligning accounting methodology and process mapping to identify implications of change. While notably professional, intuitive, and kind, Jackie serves as a tenacious negotiator and has successfully assisted clients with contract review and negotiations. Her extensive background gives her a keen eye for opportunities, providing companies with comparisons to industry best practices.
Jackie has been deeply involved in the industry throughout her career. Prior to joining Impact 21, she served as the first female vice president in the 87-year history of MFA Oil Company. She led the convenience store division and held full responsibility for an 80-store chain. She also served on MFA Employees Credit Union Board of Directors for 10 years. As a retailer, Jackie actively engaged in industry initiatives at the state level, serving on various committees. She has been involved with NACS and Study Groups, serving as president of her study group for a number of years while working with non-competing chains in the U.S. and Canada. She even served on the Missouri DNR committee to develop an operator training program for underground storage tanks.
Born and raised in Missouri, Jackie and her husband Marty share their 800-acre farm with one of their three sons and his family, including three grandchildren. She also enjoys time with her oldest son and three grandchildren in Alabama and her youngest son away at college. Her hobbies include gardening, canning and freezing vegetables, and making homemade salsa and habanero jelly. She also enjoys photography and volunteers time for graduations, weddings, and family photos, capturing many treasured memories for friends and family.
