- Company needed comprehensive Information Technology (IT) support for newly acquired refinery

- Served as the interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) for 10 months
- Managed all IT activities associated with the refinery acquisition including refinery, distribution/terminals, crude supply, and product pipeline components
- Established and managed a Project Management Office (PMO) to handle the integration between all other supporting systems; allowed for smooth termination of provided PMO and Project Manager (PM) support for a Systems Applications and Products (SAP) implementation
- Managed systems integrators, software vendor, and 20+ interfacing software vendors as well as services technical consulting resources necessary to implement SAP
Business Impact
- Project success enabled the termination of client’s transition services agreement 3 months early resulting in a $1MM savings
- Determined internal capabilities to onboard within a 6-month transition
- Helped select and transition new CIO, who is still with the company; provided new IT organization structure and roles
- Provided business process and technical oversight for the overall integrated program
