Our Services

Collaboration starts with senior leadership and is an essential element of all company-wide projects and endeavors. We recommend a Collaboration and Business Alignment Team (BAT) approach, consisting of a Senior Level Steering Committee, a Project Management Team and a BAT Team comprised of mid-level managers responsible for tactical execution.

The following are key roles and accountabilities of typical collaboration teams in our model:

Sponsors & Steering Committee

Provide leadership and direction for the project team in areas that affect budgets, timelines, resources and financial reporting. Provide final approval on all strategies and plans. Accountabilities include:

Strategic Direction

  • Plan and timeline
  • Budget
  • Scope change approval
  • Tie-breakers

Project Management Team

Responsible for overall project success - tracks project plan details and provides updates to the Steering Committee. Accountabilities include:

  • Develop Project Plan
  • Manage plan - timelines, resources, budget
  • Engage Subject matter experts
  • Communicate status & issues

Business Alignment Team (BAT)

The primary objective is to bring integrity to processes, policies, procedures, and communications across the organization – Move from strategy/plan/roadmap to effective execution. Comprised of all departments to ensure collaboration, buy-in and efficiencies across all areas. Accountabilities include:

Execution & Alignment

  • Define necessary changes to current policies and procedures
  • Present recommended changes to other working teams (Issues, Opportunities)
  • Weekly agendas and action items
  • Tactical execution and implementation

In order to facilitate collaboration, Impact 21 provides a project management and collaboration portal that can be used by our clients on all projects. This portal contains all content developed for the project, which can be accessed and updated by the teams in real-time. Additionally, project action items and accountabilities are tracked, along with progress on project plans. This real-time functionality provides visibility to all team members and transparency to the project status and impact.

Collaboration is the key for business alignment and on-going stakeholder engagement. These teams determine the specific needs of each business function and provide accountability and direction for the organization. This high-touch approach better identifies change readiness and communication required as well as inter-dependencies with other parts of the organization. Companies are often great at meeting on a project by project basis; Impact 21 teaches them to meet cross-functionally as a way of life.
